Have done 3 drift trips with Jason on different sections Lower Sac.  Knows where the fish hold, knows how to get ya on em, ethical honest knowledgable guide, great equipment,  good shore lunches, and personable, easy to get along with too. Jason lead us to the best and biggest Fish of my husband's life. A beautiful Salmon. He did that with 31 boats on the river and our boat was 1 of only 3 to catch. We are looking forward to tight lines again.

Exceptional service, very friendly and helpful.  Provides quality instruction for beginners.  Very knowledgeable of all types of fishing methods.  Only guide I know of that provides a hot bbq lunch during fly fishing trips.  Highly recommend.

I’ve had multiple experiences now with river pursuit guide service. Trout and salmon fishing in red Bluff area And striped bass out of Colusa.   I must say no matter what river we put in at as soon as you step on the boat you feel like one of the locals.  If you pay attention to the captain as he runs the rapids and Eddie’s of the river he’s constantly looking around reading and learning secrets of the river. I’ve come to realize you go with a guide because it takes an endless amount of days to truly learn the water and the fish habits to attain great success on a regular basis.

We have been successful to some extent on all of my trips. But truly the best part is that the river feels like a whole different world. I’ve seen World War II planes with big old tires swooping down and touching the water,  Bald Eagles scoop fish and witness  almost surreal Land Scape, it always takes me back to a simpler time.

Do yourself a favor and take in this experience While it’s still around. I find myself at work often telling stories of my adventures on the river!

If your looking for a thrill, or just want to learn how to fish, Jason with river pursuit guide is the man!!! He is beyond knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel extremely comfortable for my first time fly fishing. I have boated fish every time I have been fishing with Jason at River Pursuit Guide Service. I don’t know of any other guides that are on the River on their days off, just so they can keep track of the pulse of the fish for the next client that is scheduled. My husband took his novice fly fishing wife with Jason for our anniversary. I had a blast and even managed to catch some fish. Kidding aside, Jason is very easy to hang out with, patient with us newbies and a true professional. I would recommend River Pursuit to the beginners, experienced and small groups for a fun day on the river. Lunch on the beach was a bonus too. I've fished twice with River Pursuit Guide Service. Both times were with my wife who's a novice fly fisher at best. Each trip was an awesome day on the water. Catching fish is great but the whole experience was what we were after. Just drifting the river, checking out the sites, awesome shore lunch and local knowledge made the trip. We have our own boat too but nothing beats the experience of a local guide who's on the water regularly. Our guide Jason was very professional with a top notch boat and gear.
